Pros:

  • Batteries have a thermal management system.
  • Powerwall comes with a built in 11.5KW solar inverter.
  • Powerwall can start loads with an instantaneous draws of up to 185 Amps LRA and has a continuous output of 48 Amps.
  • The newest Powerwall is a DC coupled system, making it more efficient than previous versions.
  • This can be AC coupled.
  • Easy to add more batteries.

Cons:

  • Battery bank has 13.5 KWh usable capacity which may be too small for some homes.
